About... The early years of Tabernacle Ministries (2003-2012)

In january 2003 during a prayermeeting the Holy Spirit moved heavily on a group of intercessors which birthed a spiritual hunger that eventually brought about what is nowadays known as the Gorredijk revival and later The Remnant Revival which was more focused on the city of Drachten.
Between 2003 and 2012 Tabernacle Ministries was at the center of this revival. Especially between 2003 and 2007 there were many healings, miracles, signs and wonders taking place during special revival meetings in a small town called Gorredijk in the northern region of The Netherlands as thousands of people from around the world flooded to these events. The focus of the revival was heavily on intimacy and worship. Although the founder and leader of the movement stated that it was rather a spiritual awakening than a full-blown revival, something special was definitely going on around their meetings with many testimonies of healings including the healing of a person with HIV, a dead person raised, many supernatural activities, and angel sightings, and even gold, oil and manna physically appearing out of thin air.
Add extravagant extended and extreme passionate worship to this, people getting saved and refreshed and you get a bit of a taste of what went about.
During all these occurences the leadership kept emphasizing it was not about the signs & wonders but about intimacy with Him. An often heard saying was; it's signs & wonders following the believer, not the believer following after signs & wonders!

The ministry organised their very first public meeting in 2003, after which it just blew up and they started hosting schools, conferences and special revivalmeetings on a regular basis. Because they needed the team on a daily basis now that things started growing so rapidly they decided to plant a church in Gorredijk right across the street of the conference-venue which main purpose was to be a homebase for the people in the ministryteam although other people were welcomed in as well. Especially around conference dates the place was packed with guests. The name of the church was originally going to be the Father's House, but they changed it to The Lighthouse Gorredijk after Maurits Tuinenburg and the team received a prophetic word in january 2006 while preaching in the USA released by Brazilian  preacher Andre Schröder that the ministry would be "a lighthouse to the nations in Europe".

The very first conference started slow with about 50 guests showing up at the very first meeting, but grew towards an audience of about 150 people by day 3. Their very next conference in the same year started with close to 300 guests and growing to 350 over 3 days while their next conference even reached 550 guests.
It was recorded that people showed up from all over the world including nations like; The Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Romania, the USA, England, Canada and many more appying for visas to be part of what God was doing.

This put the ministry on the map spiritually, gained them a big following, many people partnering with them financially for revival in the land, and many ministers both national and internationally joining hands with them for a greater cause. Their team started traveling to different nations, The founder started being invited in different places all over the world to preach, and they started projects in nations like India, Romania and Tanzania.

Following prophetic guidance in 2008 the ministry moved their headquarters to an even more northern located small town called Oosterbierum where they started a trainingschool for ministry hosting several prophetic schools, a school of worship and did a livestream talkshow with guests. This was prophesied through 3 different ministers back in 2007. They also planted a ministry homechurch there.

Between 2008 and 2012 the ministry started a series of revivalmeetings  named The Remnant Revival in Drachten, and they did a large evangelistic outreach project named Drachten For Jesus in the city of Drachten in close cooperation with different churches and ministries..

In 2013 the ministry moved to Ede after the leaders of the movement went through some private tragedy, and the organisation lay dormant for a couple of years. Then they picked up the paiste for a while and started mainly supporting an orphanage in Oothpally Village, India.
Somewhere around 2021 after dealing with several illnesses and not being able to fully function anymore the founder of the movement felt it was time to execute the ministry and officially called it a day.

About the new Tabernacle Ministries today...

In april 2026 we felt urged by the Lord to plant 3 churches of which at least one church was to be planted in the city of Ede this year and potentially a second one in the northern region of Drachten. Miraculously we also found out that Tabernacle Ministries never really was executed although the founder felt he had offered it as a sacrifice to the Lord back in 2021. So, today we make room for Him to rebuild the ministry and team and we are looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us. Under a new name and for now just focusing on planting churches, but we feel one thing strongly; Revival is in the air, things are about to be restored and another reformation is at hand!

Update: Since august 24, 2026 we are involved in two chuchplants. One in Ede and another one in Drachten, Friesland which the Lord foretold and we feel we should support in any way possible.
